I was wondering if something has changed in the mailing routine of NukeSentinel.
Since I installed RN2.30 i'm receiving mail deliveryfailures at my admin mail.
The mails are not send to my abuse mail account as given in NS admin.
The NS mails are te only ones affected.
Asked my host but he doesn't know the adress sended to (a@vps123....)
Never created that and doesn't excist.
The server name(masked) is created for use of a network in the datacenter.
Next is an example, mailadresses etc masked
Code:
This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.
A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

If the admin contact in the NukeSentinel(tm) admin screen is correct then the only thing I can think of is that there is some sort of rerouting going on via your host, maybe through some kind of spam software? |

Ok thnx,
The weird thing is that only the sentinel mails are affected.
All other mails send trough RN and phpBB3 give no problems.
Thats why i posted the question.
My host is working on this, he thinks its strange because the email send to is unkown and never created.
He called his server a certain name, because he is using a network in a datacentre that belongs to someone else.
He will rename the server and that maybe will solve the issue.
Or not.
If not I will post again. |

So the Admin Contacts setup in the NS admin are the same as the Admin Email in Preferences under the RN Admin Menu?
What settings are you using in the TegoNuke Mailer? |

No not the same.
In prefs i use admin@
and in sentienel i use abuse@
TegoNuke is activated and set to mail()
mm, could be after enabling tegonuke.
I will disable, i'll post if there are changes. |

What happens if you change the NS admin contact to point to the admin@ email address?
Just want to try and rule out whether the problem is with the email setup, or in fact RN. |

The admin@ is sending the mails to abuse@
ofcourse the admin account wil receive the errors duh
for 95% the problem is with TegoNuke Mailer.
I disabled the function, and the abuse mails are coming in at the abuse@ account, and no more delivery problems
for 100% sure i will enable tegonukemailer again and see wat happens |

TegoNuke is definatly causing this error.
After waiting a while for mails, i started to block my self
With Tegonuke ON : mail deleviry errors send to admin account
With TegoNuke OFF : mails go to abuse account, no errors

Montego is the author/expert on TN and he isn't expected back until Friday. So if no one else replies until then, rest assured that Montego is aware of this thread and hopes to be back on then. |

I would definitely leave the Mailer off IF you are using mail(). There is no need for the Mailer in this case. I do need to look at that. The Mailer was really created to handle those cases where the host has turned off access to the PHP mail() function and so SMTP is required in that case. |

Ok clear
But i read the info's, and unterstood that if you are using mail()
to get the additional features of better error handling and batch send processing.
in my case, delivery errors
maybe add this issue to the mouseover info. |

Yeah, sorry about that. It may still be a true statement and could be something wrong with my incorporation of it into the TegoNuke(tm) Mailer framework. Its definitely on my list to review... but the list continues to grow... |
