ARGH! Why now! Smile

I'm trying to create various administrator users to wrap up the implementation and when I press ADD AUTHOR it comes back with a total white screen and that's it. No errors anywhere - just white. Like my face when I saw this. Crying or Very sad

The URL at the top never changes - it stays at http://www.ravenwebhosting.com/~strapha/admin.php

And if I go up there and press enter on it the screen doesn't change. I have to change to another screen.

The workaround is to manually create the ID within the nuke_authors table and then assign the password via the admin panel. Go figure.

Any ideas?

Are you using any addons that have altered the nuke_author's table. Like whoiswhere? This normally means that an addon has altered the authors table and it didn't (or you didn't) modify the couple of other system scripts to recognize the added columns.

The nuke authors table should have 22 columns in it.

Please state your problem, what version of nuke, Apache or IIS, and what modules you have recently added since it stopped working.

We're using the 6.9 and the installed add-ons are the event calendar and live help center.

The problem is that when we create admin user with limited privilege, we get a blank page after clicking the 'ADD AUTHOR'. This blank page is the admin.php

We are using phpnuke 6.9 running on Apache.

We only tested the admin user creation lately for the first time. The two add-ons have already been installed long time ago.

thanks for your help and very quick reply.

Your host should have given you access to the apache error logs. If you use cPanel, you will see an ico for error log

if the 'error log' in the cpanel is the same as the apache error log, all we see is the '...//favicon icon/....file does not exist.

thanks again for your reply.

This problem is usually a result of adding addons that modify the authors table and they don't sync the code up to recognize the alterations.

Try dropping that column from the authors table - should be at the end of the table. You can always add it back. That's usually the cause.
