Hello,
I used to just installed a fresh nuke system and add everything in but i'm starting to grow tired of the large amount of time it takes. I was wondering if there is a decent package out there anywhere that incorporates a good amount of modules/blocks in the install? I liked phpnuke platinium and had it on a test site but 95% of the time they could not even keep a website up and now the site is completly down so i'm looking for a new package. Does anyone have any suggestions (with url please) for a good package? |

yeah I looked at the 7.3 but it doesn't have what I'm looking for. What im doing is rebuilding my guild site for World Of Warcraft. I was trying to make this as quick as possible so I was looking for a package that was similiar to nuke plat. So far i've found pc-maxiums it's in french but has the nsn installs I want. Nuke plat which I really liked the layout especially the easy admin on forums and the private message database. pc-nuke Which just doens't have what I want.
Maxiums was close by having all the NsN modules installed which would save me time but all these packages change the code around to make it faster and everytime i've used one i've found that when I try and isntall a module it's just a d*** disaster.
I'm actually surprised no one has packages that are just base nuke with alot of common addons instaled it saves sooo much time. A straight up 7.6 version of nuke with nsn mods and a calendar and i'd for the most part be set. I would still love to have that pm database that nuke plat has but I haven't seen any bb mods that do that. I liked the file uploading in that version also. |

When you say PM database do you mean the mod that allows admins to review other user's sent PM's?
If so it is available here:
Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login!
Details:
Quote: | An Admin panel plug in that allows the management of Private Messages on the board. You may sort by a variety of options, delete any PMs you choose, or optionally archive them for later use. Admin Note: Ported by jrsweets

Gave it a try no luck. Backed up the files it changes, uploaded the files, ran the .sql. Loged into admin for forums, no change nothing under user admin area. I get no errors at all though it acts as if i've changed nothing.
I'm on a fresh new install of 7.6 3.0 and I upgraded the boards to 2.0.17 before I installed the addon. |

I have tested it on 7.6 with 3.1 and bbtonuke 2.0.17 with absolutely no trouble...it worked flawlessly. I wonder why you are having trouble....
The most common problem folks have with installing mods like these are:
Not editing ALL theme tpl files. In other words you have to modify for all themes you use, not just subSilver
Using an ftp program that doesn't always overwrite files that already exist, such as WS_FTP LE, and WS_FTP Pro
I imagine your problem lies in the latter since subSilver contains the admin templates |

I'm using flash fxp. I did'nt see anything in the install that want's me to manually edit any files unless I want to turn some things off. As for the theme i'm still just sitting on the standard nuke theme haven't set it to anything else yet. I just plan on installing all mods/addons first. I"ll try a total deletion of the files and see what happens. Just so odd I get nothing i'd rather have an error lol.
I only ran the bbtonuke 16-17 though I didn't run the 2.07-8-9-10 etc. Not sure if that would matter or not. |
