Selective Viewing of Blocks

Is it possible to create a side block, (either on the left or right), but only have it show when a user is veiwing certain modules, (ie it is not visible on all pages of your website)?

There is a tweak by Palladin called Conditional Blocks that does something like this.

You can find it Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login!. But keep in mind that this was originally developed for PHP-Nuke 6.5. The concept is the same - and the block functions haven't changed substantially since that version. But the instructions may not be exactly correct.

The author's site is no longer active, but at one point he wrote a developer's primer. Can't find that on Google either... BTW, I misspelled Paladin. Only one L.
