Well, after 5 grand-daughters, we now have our first grand-son!! Christopher Michael Fraley II entered this world yelling and screaming at 6 pounds 3 ounces and 19 inches long!!!! Congratulations to Chris (our oldest), Karen (his wife), Alyssa and Cassie (their kids)!!!!

Several of you have [understandably] questioned whether a flat file guest book, such as my KISGB, can handle a large number of entries efficiently. Sunshine Ruby is the largest site I have heard of that uses KISGB [The Guest Book is positioned as the top most menu item on their site - it's in Chinese]. There could be others, but this is the largest one that I know of, to date. The site is in Chinese, but as of 1/14/2003 there are over 1500 entries! I have tested KISGB at a much larger number of entries and it seems to do fine. By the way, the vocalist is Ruby Lin and she has a very beautiful voice!

With the release of KISGB v4.2.0, I added a function to translate the visitor's IP address to a host name, as some have requested. However, some sites, when using a proxy, will mask the IP, which causes the gethostbyaddr() function to return a value that php flags as an invalid IP format. If you have error_reporting set to E__ERROR or display_errors = Off, then the message is suppressed to the log and is not an issue.
