We are proud to present to you folks the first of a set of scripts meant to increase the speed and efficiency of your Nuke System.

We present to you our NExtGEn Nuke Speed Hack Series which was designed with GT-NExtGEn and Nuke Users alike in mind.

The hack replaces common functions in the mainfile.php and optimizes them for performance and cuts out redundancy to provide increased speed and efficiency on every page load. Versions are available for Nuke Versions 6.0 through 7.3

Get Download HERE

The idea was concieved while implementing custom sessions, after seeing the time I saved for doing so, I thought of a way to do this for regular nuke users. This is the fruit of that. Hope you enjoy!

I have written a News and Comments Email Notification hack to allow the email notification to Articles and Comments, similar to the Forum notification of replies. There are many configurable settings and with this hack I am introducing a new way of applying my hacks and mods. I keep trying to find a way to limit the amount of changes to the core modules and this will work in many cases. It only requires adding 1 line of code, in this case. Read More...

I wrote a hack to the News items that whenever a user replies/comments, the webmaster and/or all users who have commented on that article get an email. Just like the Forum Posts notification. That way I get notified when there are additions, which is especially important on older news items. Anyone interested?

Avatar Control Panel More about

Posted on Saturday, January 03, 2004 @ 10:32:58 CST in Code Hacks

chatserv writes:
This hack was designed with users of the phpBB port in mind, Nuke's default profile manager only lists the avatars present in the gallery folder while many of us use more than one avatar gallery, now you can allow your site members to select avatars from any and all existing galleries or link to a remote avatar and they won't lose their avatar when they make any change in Nuke's default profile manager.

This is a modification of PHP-Nuke's original Your Account module that provides an alternative to the avatar issues present when saving changes in Nuke's profile, your current avatar is displayed along with a list of available avatar galleries. Selecting a new avatar is as easy as browsing through the galleries and clicking on the desired avatar or entering the url of a remote avatar. Uploaded avatars will still have to be entered through the forum's profile, currently if avatar uploading is enabled on your forums the control panel will switch the disabled message to a link to the forum's profile.

Download: For PHP-Nuke 6.5-6.9 ยท For PHP-Nuke 7.0 Preview here, sorry, preview requires site membership.
